FREE, Yes, FREE Activities at Walt Disney World

Believe it or not there are a lot of fun, free activities you can take advantage of while vacationing at Walt Disney World.  So when you feel like your wallet needs a break indulge in the following activities – no wallet needed!

Autographs ~ Whether you make your own or purchase one at the parks grab your autograph book and pen and catch up with your favorite characters around the parks and select resort restaurants.  Finding the characters on your wish list can be half the fun and once found the interaction is priceless.

Sorcerers of theMagicKingdom~ This free, interactive game will take you all over theMagicKingdomwhile you battle Disney villains in an effort to help Merlin save the day.  Check in at the Firehouse on Main Street USA to get started.

Kidcot ~ Each country in World Showcase at Epcot has a Kidcot Fun Station.  When you visit your first station you will receive a free cardboard mask (currently the mask is in the shape of Duffy, Mickey Mouse’s bear).  There are Sharpies and stamps available to decorate the mask at each Kidcot Fun Station as well as a cast member native to that country who will talk with your child and tell them a bit about the culture and language of the area.  The cast member will even write your child’s name on the mask in their native language.  These make great show and tell gifts when you return home!

Club Cool ~ Thirsty?  How about a free drink of a Coca Cola product?  Head on over to Club Cool located in Future World at Epcot where you can sample Coke product from around the world for free.  Make sure you tryBeverly, the Coke product fromItaly!

Transportation ~ Everyone knows Disney’s transportation system is free for guest but did you know some of these rides can be enjoyable and relaxing and a great way to spend some down time.  Hop on the monorail for a round trip ride around Seven Seas Lagoon or from the Ticket andTransportationCenterto Epcot (you will have to disembark at Epcot and re-enter the monorail on the other side of the station for your return trip).  Another nice, free ride is the boat between Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  This relaxing ride will take you past the Boardwalk Resort, Yacht and Beach Club Resort and the Swan and Dolphin Resorts.  You may stay on for a round trip ride or hop off at any stop to explore.

Downtown Disney ~ No admission is required to visit this huge shopping, eating and entertainment district.  It’s a great place to spend your arrival or departure day if you don’t have park passes valid for that day.

Resorts ~ Many of the Disney resorts offer free activities for guests.  Guided tours are offered at the Wilderness Lodge, participate in a weekly lady bug release at the Grand Floridian, sit and watch the animals on the savannah at one of the guest viewing locations at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  These are just a few examples.  Check with the concierge at each resort for details.
